Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I spent months working 12 hour days cleaning floors and tearing down wallpaper with one baby strapped to my back and the others playing inside the playpen. Ha! The home was starting to look good, but there were still many things that needed to be left. The project would require an enormous amount of effort and my personal favorite brands to furnish this home. To stay within budget, I began taking my kids to estate sales in search of diamonds. Our routine was to visit auctions and garage sales on Sundays and Saturdays, and buy a variety of old pieces and new created. My work days were spent at the end of the driveway, either painting or sanding. It was kind of like this... Here is the place where my passion for restoring antique furniture started. No matter what, our house had already been equipped. I also had a booth at the market where I sold things. My collection eventually grew to the point that the space that I was living in was not enough. There were open houses in my home that saw more than 1 000 visitors would come through in one weekend, and purchase whatever they saw on the first floor. Growing Days was created in the home. In addition to my thriving business, I also grew our family. I was trying to find that perfect balance between what it took starting a business as well as a mother too. Growing Days fit perfectly. Nora came into our lives in 2013 to be our fourth baby. My business was going well but I wanted a rest. I took a pause from creating furniture for vintage homes, and also slowed my pace and stayed at home to raise the children. That was exactly what I needed at that time. However, after just a couple of minutes the phone started to ring. People contacted me asking for help with the interior design and renovations of their home. These were mostly customers who came to my open residence to buy furniture. Then I slowly took on more clients, according to my own pace. Then I was able to have many customers and was operating as a home improvement business. If you'd told me that this business of mine could become the basis of a television show for the DIY Network I probably would have laughed. Indeed, I am laughing slightly when I recall the story.
